Dave grew up in London and read medicine at the University of Cambridge. He trained as an anaesthetist in London, the South Coast and the South West of England. In 2008 he undertook the airway fellowship at the Royal Perth Hospital, WA, under the mentorship of Andy Heard.
After completing anaesthetic training in 2011 Dave worked as a consultant anaesthetist in a hospital in South Wales, U.K. for eight years. He returned to Australia with his family in 2019 and now works in Adelaide ouras a specialist anaesthetist with Pulse Anaesthetics, and also as a consultant in Prehospital & Retrieval Medicine with MedSTAR.
In the U.K. Dave founded the All Wales Airway Group, and the South West Airway Management Society. He lectures on difficult airway management and runs airway courses and conferences internationally. Other interests include anaesthesia for joint replacements, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, Clinical Practice Improvement, and Medical Education. Dave is married and has four children.
Dr Yasmin

Dr Yasmin started her medical career in Vienna, in Austria, before moving to South Australia in 2009. She is a senior consultant at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, a staff specialist for Adelaide Anaesthetic Services and a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide.
Her interests include management of the difficult airway in paediatric and adult patients, including the use of the ultrasound in airway management, anaesthesia for trauma and maxillo facial procedurs, regional anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and data incidence reporting and evaluation.
She is the current chair of the Australian Airway Special Interest Group, the Australian Airway Lead and an active member of the ANZTADC group. In her role, she has been involved in multicentre airway incidents audits, teaching, and lecturing on airway management at national and international conferences.
